TESCOM RELEASES SCHEDULE FOR APPEARANCE OF SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS BEFORE REDISTRIBUTION, REVIEW PANEL The Ogun State Teaching Service Commission) TESCOM) has released schedule for appearance before the Restribution and Review Panel set up by the commission for interested applicant affected by the recent redistribution/ transfer of public secondary school teachers.   This was contained in a release signed by the Permanent Secretary in TESCOM, Mr. Akintomiwa Osibodu, stating that sitting of the Panel is at the Headquarters of the Commission, Block A, State Secretariat, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.  The release indicated that dates for the appearance are as follows: Abeokuta South, Tuesday 27 to Thursday, 29 January, 2026, while Wednesday, 4 to Thursday, 5 February, 2026.would be for other Local Governments in Egba Division such as Ifo; Owode, Ewekoro, Odeda, and Abeokuta North, as  Yewa, Ijebu and Remo Divisions would be attended to on Friday, February...

Ogun: Police arraign student 'leader' for impersonation, forgery, breach of public peace  The Ogun State Police Command have arraigned an acclaimed student leader in the state, Olanose James, before the State Magistrate Court over a three-count charge of impersonation, conduct likely to breach public peace and forgery. *Ogun School Health Teachers Trained to Boost HPV Vaccination Coverage*   Family Health Initiative (FAHIO), in collaboration with the Primary Health Care Board with the support of Pathfinder International, has commenced training of health teachers and counsellors across primary schools in Ogun state, to enhance their knowledge on the importance of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination. The training held at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, drew participants from Primary Schools in Odeda, Yewa North, and Ijebu North Local Government Areas (LGAs), was aimed to equip Health Teachers and Counsellors with skills to educate pupils and Parents Teachers Association (PTA) about HPV prevention and benefits of its vaccination. Women in Ado-Odo/Ota, Odeda LGAs Get Free Cervical Cancer Screening As part of efforts to ensure early detection of issues that can possibly lead to cervical cancer, women in Ado-Odo/Ota and Odeda Local Government Areas of Ogun State benefited from a free cervical cancer screening. The screening outreaches, held to commemorate Cancer Awareness Month, was jointly organized by the Family Health Initiative (FAHIO), in collaboration with the Ogun State Primary Health Care Board alongside the Medical Women's Association of Nigeria, Ogun State Chapter, with support from Pathfinder International. Ogun, Edo, Others Trained On Data-Driven Forest Management The Chief Technical Advisor for the FAO GEF7 Biodiversity Project, Professor Segun Oladoye, has said that strengthening technical capacity and data use is central to addressing Nigeria’s forest and biodiversity challenges. Professor Oladoye made this known in Abeokuta at the opening of a training programme titled “Collect Earth and Mapathon Data Collection,” organized under the Food and Agriculture Organization–Global Environment Facility (FAO-GEF7) programme in collaboration with the Ogun State Government. He explained that the Global Environment Facility supports environmental and livelihood initiatives globally, with biodiversity conservation as a key focus. BE CALM ON SAGAMU EXPRESSWAY COMMUTERS ADVISED Motorists have been advised to be patient and drive with caution along the Sagamu—Ore-Benin Expressway, as the current reconstruction of the road has continued to cause traffic gridlock, thereby triggering major delays on the road. Vice Chairman, Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State, Hon.
