NEW SUBEB BOSS CHARGES MANAGEMENT, STAFF ON TEAMWORK
In a bid to ensure effective and seamless administration, the newly appointed Executive Chairman of the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Evangelist Olalekan Ifede, has urged Education Secretaries across the Local Government Education Authorities, as well as the Board's management and staff, to embrace teamwork and unity.
Evangelist Ifede made this call during the inauguration and official resumption of duties by the new Board members. He emphasized that cooperation and collaboration were essential for achieving progress and stability in the administration of basic education in the state.
“Two good heads are better than one. I appeal to all career officers to see themselves as one. Let us work together as a team. I have come with love and where there is love, there is progress,” Ifede stated.
He further urged all career officers to foster unity and mutual respect, noting that no individual possesses a monopoly of knowledge, appreciating Governor Dapo Abiodun for the opportunity to serve and pledged to discharge his responsibilities diligently in the best interest of the state's education sector.
In his welcome address, the Permanent Member III of SUBEB, Hon. Abiodun Ajayi, described the Chairman’s appointment as a reflection of the Governor’s trust in his competence, integrity, and leadership abilities.
“We are confident that your wealth of experience, dedication, and visionary leadership will further strengthen the Board’s mandate to provide quality, accessible, and inclusive basic education for children across the state,” Ajayi said.
Also speaking, the Board Secretary, Mr. Olubori Akinleye, pledged his full support and commitment to the continued development of both the Board and basic education in Ogun State.
In his goodwill message, the Director of Administration and Supplies, Mr. Femi Fatade, assured the new Board of unwavering support, loyalty, and a shared resolve to work harmoniously towards the Board’s success.
Speaking on behalf of the Education Secretaries, Tpl. Paul Ayoola from the Imeko Afon Local Government Education Authority described Evangelist Ifede’s appointment as a divine intervention. He enjoined the new Chairman to be courageous, assuring him of both professional and spiritual support from members of staff towards recording success in the discharge of his duties.
