TRACE ZONAL COMMANDER BAGS 2025 LAGOS CITY NEWS AWARD
Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) Zonal Commander, Cdr. (Dr.) Olubori Sonde has bagged the year 2025 Lagos City News award for his efforts on road traffic enforcement and management in the Ogun Central Senatorial district.
Mazi. Amb. Emmanuel Oduigwe, Publisher and Convener while presenting the award of " Very Distinguished, Grand Icon of States' Road Safety Administration and Traffic Management Protocol of the Decade" to him in his office at TRACE Zonal Command in Abeokuta, described him as a multifaceted individual with diverse expertise in traffic management who is diligent at various duty posts.
The publisher also praised him not only for his impressive contribution to the growth of the agency but also, for his passion for community development and involved with several initiatives aimed at improving the lives of people in his community.
The publisher said that, he decided to personally bring the award to Cdr. Sonde's office to honour him because he was not able to attend the event held in Lagos due to his tight busy schedule.
" Dr. Sonde's impressive contributions to the growth and development of TRACE and community have earned him recognition, as he is honoured with the 2025 Lagos City News' Annual National Development Merit Awards in the Nigeria Security and Services Award category. We congratulate him on this well- deserved honour and look forward to his continued contributions to our communities" he said.
He further explained that, Cdr. Sonde has been officially invested as a member of the Media Peace Ambassador (MPAs) of Journalists for Justice, Peace and Development Initiatives Nigeria.
In his response, the TRACE Zonal Commander appreciated Lagos City News for the award and promised to put in more efforts at promoting peace and safety in his command and communities.
