ADMINISTRATORS, STAKEHOLDERS CHARGE TO INCLUDE SPORTS IN SCHOOL CURRICULUM 
Schools administrations and stakeholders in the education sector have been charged to include sporting activities in school curriculum in order to encourage students to take sports as profession.

The Executive Director, Lawson Group of Schools, Mr. Akinola Lawson gave the charge at the Inter House Sports competition of Lawson Group of Schools held at the Moshood Abiola Sports Arena, Kuto Abeokuta.

He said sports have been recognised Internationally, saying parents should encourage their children to participate in sports alongside their educational careers of their choice, as it could bring them to limelight in the nearest future.

Emphasising the numerous health benefits of sporting activities, Mr Lawson said lots of students get scholarships through sports in Europe, urging stakeholders in sports sector to nurture and encourage sports talents in students.

He acknowledged the great turnaround of Moshood Abiola Sports Arena to International standard, adding that the tenure of the present administration led by Prince Dapo Abiodun, would never be forgotten in the area of monumental achievements in sports development and other sectors of the economy in the State.

Also speaking, one of the Parents, Mrs. Yetunde Ogungbesan said "all work without play makes jack a dull boy", saying that encouraging children to always participate in sporting activities propel them to be more active not only academically but also health wise.

Mrs Ogungbesan appreciated the school management of Lawson Group of Schools for organising such sporting activities for the students, stressing the need for government to continue the good work in sports development as well as encourage young talents in the sporting sector.

Highlights of the event was presentation of awards and certificate to parents and students who participated actively in the programme with Yellow house coming first in the overall event, Red house came second, Green House, third while Blue house was fourth in this year inter house sports competition of Lawson Group of Schools.

ABIODUN APPROVES 100,000, 20,000 CHRISTMAS BONUS FOR STATE WORKFORCE  The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun (CON) has approved the sum of 100,000 and 20,000 according to grade level for State workforce. The information made available to CSR Watch Concept repoter by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information & Strategy, Alhaji Waheed  Adesina at Governor's Office, Oke-Mosan Abeokuta , stated that Levels 1-8  N20,000, Levels 9 - 10  N25,000, Level 12  N35,000, Level 13 -14  N40,000, Level 15. N55,000,  and Level 16 and 17 would get N100,000 each. OGUN COMMENDS SO-SAFE CORPS FOR STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY SECURITY The Permanent Secretary of the Ogun State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr. Rotimiolu Akinlesi, has lauded the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) for its pivotal role in enhancing security and supporting other law enforcement agencies across the state.
