OGEPA GREETS RESIDENTS ON  EASTER, URGES ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE CELEBRATIONS
As Christians in Ogun State and across the world prepare to commemorate Good Friday and Easter Sunday, the Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA) has called on residents to reflect the spirit of the season through responsible environmental practices.

This was discosed by the General Manager, Hon. Kehinde Bello, the Agency emphasised that the significance of Easter marked by sacrifice, redemption, and renewal should also inspire a renewed commitment to environmental stewardship.

“Good Friday exemplifies selflessness and sacrifice, while Easter heralds hope and new beginnings. As we celebrate with family and loved ones, it is imperative that we also demonstrate care for our environment by maintaining cleanliness and promoting sustainability across our communities,” Hon. Bello stated.

The Agency urged residents to adopt proper waste disposal practices, avoid indiscriminate dumping, and ensure that festivities do not compromise the cleanliness and safety of public spaces.

“Let the joy of Easter not come at the expense of our surroundings. A clean and healthy environment is a collective responsibility and a shared benefit. I extend my best wishes to all Christian faithful for a reflective Good Friday and a peaceful, environmentally conscious Easter celebration,” he added.

OGEPA further encouraged residents to report any environmental violations to the appropriate authorities promptly.
