 Lagos Council Boss Opens 2026 ELP Portal For Youth
The Executive Chairman, Epe Local Government Council Area of Lagos State, Princess Surah Olayemi Animashaun, has reaffirmed that youth development remains a cornerstone of her administration, stressing that empowering young people with the right knowledge, skills and opportunities was essential to building a prosperous and globally competitive Epe division.

Princess Animashaun stated this while opening registration portal for the 2026 Emerging Leaders Programme (ELP) for the youths, held at the council secretariat Ita-Marun, Epe, noting that it was part of her bold commitment to raising a generation of visionary, innovative, and impact-driven young leaders across the local government council.

"This flagship initiative is a strategic investment in the future of Epe, carefully designed to empower young people with the leadership capacity, innovation mindset and practical skills required to thrive in today's rapidly evolving world and become champions of sustainable community development." Princess Animashaun said.

She said that participants would receive intensive training in leadership, civic engagement, innovation, employability, workplace readiness, community problem solving, CV, and LinkedIn optimisation, adding that selected participants would also earn Emergency Response Awareness and CPR Certification, and upon completion, participants would receive certificates and gain access to valuable leadership networks that would position them for greater opportunities.

Princess Animashaun futher said that the registration is FREE but spaces are limited, and interested youths are encouraged to register immediately to secure their participation through, https://forms.gle/DnubgxMfGQbWmKWZ9.

"In fact, this is more than a training, but an opportunity for our youths to unlock their leadership potential, expand their network, develop lifelong skills, and becomes part of a new generation of changemakers driving the future of Epe. Your leadership journey starts here." She said.

Princess Animashaun said that the training would commence on Tuesday, 14th and end on Wednesday, 15th July, 2026, by 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, daily, Venue: Council Chamber Hall, Epe Local Government Secretariat, Ita-Marun, Epe.

Meanwhile, the council Boss, Princess Animashaun has again urged the eligible residents of the council, especially the first time voters and those seeking to transfer, replace, or update their Permanent Voter's Card (PVC), to participate in the ongoing online voter registration exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) within the short period of time left.

The council boss said residents could conveniently begin their registration through the INEC Self Service Registration Portal; https://cvr.inecnigeria.org/, noting that all registrations closes on Sunday, 26th July, 2026.

Princess Animashaun urged every eligible residents to take advantage of this opportunity and get registered, noting that "Your PVC is your voice. Register today and help shape the future of our democracy."
