OGUN MOVES TO UPGRADE OFFICE OF PRINCIPALS-GENERAL, ZONAL SECRETARIES
The Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) is set to upgrade the office of Principals-General and Zonal Secretaries across the four divisions of the State, as part of efforts in transforming Public Secondary School administration and ensuring efficient service delivery.
This was disclosed during an inspection visit by the Chairman of the Commission, Apostle ‘Biodun Sanyaolu to Imeko, Ayetoro, Ilaro and Ipokia, among other areas in Yewa division.
As contained in a release by the Information and Public Relation Officer in TESCOM, Waliyat Odemakin indicated that the inspection was aimed at assessing the current condition of the offices and identifying areas requiring urgent intervention to enhance the working environment for education administrators.
Speaking during the visit, Apostle Sanyaolu, said the upgrading aligned with the present administration’s commitment to repositioning Public Secondary Schools for improved management and accountability, noting that
'' This upgrading is to give our Principals-General and Zonal Secretaries a befitting environment that will enhance productivity, supervision and effective service delivery,” he said.
The TESCOM Chairman noted that a conducive working environment for education managers would translate to better monitoring of schools, improved teachers' performance and overall academic excellence.
He assured that the rehabilitation work would be carried out in phases to ensure minimal disruption of administrative activities, while urging stakeholders to support the Commission’s drive to strengthen the education sector.
In his response, the Principal-General for Yewa division, Mr. Taoheed Bankole, expressed appreciation for the visit, describing the planned renovation as a laudable move,
stating that it would boost productivity and morale among education managers in the division.
