TAKE RESPONSIBILITY  OF YOUR ENVIRONMENT, HOS TELLS WORKERS ....AS MONITORING OF BI-MONTHLY SANITATION EXERCISE CONTINUED 
Civil/Public Servants in the Ogun State Civil Service have been called upon to take ownership of their environment in order to keep harmful reptiles at bay and add value to the aesthetic nature of the working environment.

The Head of Service, Mr. Olanrewaju Saka made the call while monitoring another in the series of the bi-monthly Environmental Sanitation exercise put in place by the State Government to improve the aesthetic value of the conducive working environment created by the government for the workers.

According to him, if the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has provided a conducive environment for the workers to thrive, the onus lies on them to maintain the natural environment for the good of their health, security and aesthetic value. 

He commended the workers for the massive and impressive turn out and added that it was not yet uhuru as more efforts must be geared towards achieving efficiency through total compliance.

"What we have witnessed is that the turn out is massive and impressive, which means that Civil/ Public Servants complied with the directive, however, the outcome is not yet satisfactory. I want to implore the Civil/Public Servants to make sure they comply effectively", the HoS said.

While expressing dissatisfaction with some areas, the Head of Service called on all Civil Servants and government establishments to take the exercise seriously, as it was not meant to witch-hunt anyone but to monitor the effect of the policy of "Keep Your Environment Clean" on the environment as well as the workers and added that cleanliness is next to godliness.

The Head of Service and his team, comprising of members of the Body of Permanent Secretaries and Directors inspected compliance at locations including the Ogun State Television (OGTV), the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) Headquarters, both at Ajebo Road; as well as Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in Blocks A and B of the Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
